< Back To National Maritime Services News SeaEscape "Island Adventure" Vessel Arrested and Sold at Auction for $3.6 Million
Recently NMS was called upon to act as vessel arrest and custody specialists in the case of the “Island Adventure� cruise/casino ship operated by Sea Escape. The vessel’s home port was Fort Lauderdale making it convenient to handle from our headquarters. She was under arrest for about 3 months. In addition to the crew wage claimants, there were several interveners. The vessel was sold at a U.S. Marshal Sale. NMS assisted in the sale and subsequent tow of the vessel from Port Everglades to Freeport, where she is undergoing renovations. See above photo and the CBS4 news segment on SeaEscape auction.
